S Series, complete filtration systems combining pump and Slurry tank with the filtration performance of the new, Compact Series of Perma-Disc®.

The "S" Series provides significant benefits compared to existing filtration setups.

First, cost savings.  the cost of buying disposable media, cartridges, paper, etc is eliminated along with the cost of disposing of the contaminated media, frequently as hazardous waste.

The second advantage is based on the Perma-Disc® stack holding 3 times the dirt of a comparable cartridge, translating into less frequent servicing.

A third advantage is the horizontal Perma-Disc® configuration retaining the filtered dirt when the pump is shut off - while cartridges drop the dirt when flow is shut off.

Mounted on a rugged stainless steel frame, these systems include piping and motor control.  The compact design and large wheels make the unit easily moved to service a number of tanks.

The horizontal discs of the Perma-Disc® filter can be precoated for finer filtration using the slurry tank and recirculation piping.  A filter aid such as diatomaceous earth is added to the slurry tank with the filter inlet and discharge valves closed and recirculation vales open.  In a matter of minutes, the solution in the slurry tank becomes crystal clear. indicating the filter hs been precoated.  The horizontal orientation of the discs retains the precoat when  the pump is turned off.  Carbon, for the treatment of organics, can be added using the slurry tank after precoating.

Cleaning the filter is easy.  The filter housing is readily accessible as shown in the photograph.
