RIM-MOUNTED UNIT ABOVE TANK

AT Series is designed for applications such as precious metals or other solutions where filtering within the confines of the plating tank is preferred.  any dripping or spillage falls back into the tank, prevents loss of solution or difficult cleanups.

The "Above Tank" series are designed to provide the benefit of containing any spillage and to take advantage of the higher pressure differentials available on the discharge side of pumps.  Higher pressure available provides the ability to "pack" more dirt into the filter.

In the "AT" series, the pump and filtering element are positioned above the solution in the tank.  The AT unit is clamped in the lip of the tank, with the working elements over the solution.  the inlet to a vertical pump reaches below liquid level, with the pump outlet connected to the filter housing inlet.  This arrangement takes full advantage of the pressure generating capability of the pump, overcoming the limitation of low pressure differential with filters on the inlet or suction side of a pump.

The horizontal Perma-Disc® design holds 3 times the dirt of a cartridge, and the dirt stays in place in the horizontal Perma-Discs when the pump is shutoff - a significant advantage over "cartridge submerged in tank" arrangements.

Servicing the filter is easy.  The motor switch is on the "aisle" side of the unit.  The pressure gage also faces the "aisle" allowing quick, uninterrupted checking of dirt load and optimizing the interval between cleaning.  The conveniently located housing, containing the Perma-Disc® stack is right at the edge of the tank and above liquid level.  Simple unscrew the top of the housing and lift the stack out.  No lifting of heavy pumps or reaching into the solution is a real plus for operators.

For flexibility, the unique clamp design will accommodate tank rims up to 4" wide and 2 different heights to accommodate liquid levels.  Extended pumps are also liquid level available.  Recognizing the potential for corrosion, the clamps and mounting frame are stainless steel.  Swivel pads on the bolts protect the side of the tank.
