S + C Series, the "Stack and Chamber" are the heart of the Perma-DiscTM technology.  Recognizing that many existing installations can benefit from Perma-Disc®, the S + C series can be retrofit in place of existing filtration setups.

The S + C series provides significant benefits over existing filtration setups using wound cartridges.

First, cost savings.  the cost of buying disposable media, cartridges, paper, etc, is eliminated along with the cost of disposing of the contaminated media, frequently as expensive hazardous waste.

The second advantage is based on the Perma-Disc® stack holding 3 times the dirt of a comparable translating, translateing into less frequent servicing.

A third advantage is the horizontal Perma-Disc® orientation which retains the filtered dirt when the pump is shut off - while cartridges drop the dirt when flow is shut off.

Existing pumps, piping and motor controls can be reused in many applications.  Of course, care must be taken to match the correct stack and chamber to the correct pump and piping.

The "S + C" units include the stack of Perma-Discs, the movable support to align the discs, the custom designed stack ends - the stack assembly, and housing.

The housing and stack assemblies are carefully designed to compress the Perma-Disc® stack for good filtration and for clearance for the support rod that allows the stack to expand.  For these reasons, the stack and chamber is provided as a complete unit.  the stack assembly is not designed to be interchanged with any cartridges.
